AAIF National Conference - 2008

Friday, June 27 - Sunday, June 29, 2008

Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary
1044 Alta Vista Road
Louisville, Kentucky 40205
(800) 264-1839

We are getting ready for this year's National Conference!

Conference registrations and dining registrations will be made through AAIF. (Note: these forms must be filled out and mailed to AAIF.) This conference is every bit as interesting and relevant as the 2006 Conference was. In the months since that conference, the fields of ecumenism and interchurch families have been very active. There will be much to discuss. See the Agenda (rev. May 30, 2008) for more details.

We are also providing an informative flier that describes the 2008 Conference. Please distribute this (via e-mail and paper) to people and churches that might be interested.

Laws Lodge at the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary will be the center of activities for our biennial get-together. Directions: Laws Lodge is located on the grounds of the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY (see address above). The best exit to take from I-64 to reach the seminary is Exit 8, Grinstead Drive. Although there are other ways to reach the seminary, the seminary has put up signs from this exit leading people to it. See Laws Lodge map. Once you have reached the Seminary grounds, see the Campus Map and proceed to Laws Lodge (Building No. 8).

Rooms at Laws Lodge will cost $66.41 per room per night including taxes, a special 2008 AAIF Conference rate. Conference attendees need to make their own room reservations. To reserve rooms, call Laws Lodge at 502-992-0220, ask for Lisa, and indicate that you are attending the AAIF Conference. Rooms are air-conditioned and accommodate two people. Most rooms have queen size beds, but a few have twin beds. Each room has a television set, a phone, and private bath. There are some handicapped equipped rooms. Additional family members can stay in the same room as cribs and rollaway beds are available.

Other information: Rooms can also be reserved for the nights before and after the conference for anyone wishing to visit local attractions, such as Churchill Downs and the Abbey of Gethsemani, among others. If attendees are interested, we can form groups to tour those sites and local members connected with Churchill Downs and the Abbey will arrange the special tours. AAIF membership information is provided on our Membership Page.

Don't forget to send in your conference registration form as soon as possible and your dining registration form to arrive by June 1, 2008. (Please indicate on the registration form your interest in group trips before and after the conference.)
